after completing a years Scholarship at the Championship outfit. He went on to spend a
short time at Slimbridge before signing for Yate.
Ryan Lewis-Hillier (forward). Released as a young pro by Newport County last summer,
played in the Welsh league and trained with Yate during the end of the 22/23 season. Ryan
is a centre forward with a good eye for goal.
Milo Murgatroyd (forward). Recently signed from Odd Down (Bath) of the Western League
after becoming a regular scorer at Odd Down (Bath). Milo had previous experience with
Abingdon United.
Jaden Brown (forward). Former Bristol City Academy player, looking to establish himself in
senior football.
Callum Hutton (forward). Callum is on-loan with Yate Town from Bristol City.
Finley Bell (midfield). Fin is on-loan with Yate Town from Forest Green Rovers FC.
Management team:
Darren Mullings (Player/Manager). Darren was officially unveiled as full-time manager in
mid-October 2023 after a short period of being in temporary charge of the team. Darren is
a former schoolboy under 18 international and England College under 19 international. After
leaving South Gloucester and Stroud College, he joined Bristol Rovers as a trainee and
turned professional with them in July 2005; Darren spent two seasons with Bristol Rovers
and during this time was sent out on loan to Clevedon Town. After his release in the summer
of 2007, he joined Torquay United for one season and spent one month on loan to Tiverton
Town. After leaving Torquay United, Darren spent two seasons with Weston Super Mare
before joining Gloucester City in the 2010 – 2011 season and spent four seasons with them.
Darren has gone on to play for Paulton Rovers, Weston Super Mare for the second time and
Gloucester City for the second time. He joined Chippenham Town in November 2017. Darren
is a midfielder and a great acquisition for Yate, where his experience on and off the pitch is
going to be positive for everyone around the club.
Paul Tovey (assistant manager) Paul is a Yate lad, and has a long history with the club, first
playing for us when he was a young player at Bristol Rovers under the then Yate manager/
legend Pete Jackson in the early 90's. His playing career started at Bristol Rovers, and then
went onto the local non-league circuit. He had further spells at Yate under Martin Durnell,
Ian Alexander and Richard Thompson. Paul hopes to be able to unlock the massive potential
of Yate as a football club and town.
James Hicks (Matchday Operations/ Kit man). James followed John Rendell from Paulton
Rovers. He is well known in the local community, having been a decent cricketer and has
also followed Yate Town as a supporter for many years.
Gary Webb: (Kit man) Widely known and respected in the local football community he
represented Yate Town just under 40 years ago, he has been an active referee for the last
15 years, in addition to coaching experience with Chipping Sodbury FC. Gary with his
knowledge and experience continues to be an excellent addition to the management team.
Carl Bains (physio): Carl has recently joined Yate Town as our physio following Jonny Evans
move to Gloucester City.
Stewart Thomas (First Aider): Stewart provides invaluable first responder knowledge and
experience to the team and is a welcome addition.
