Good evening all ,
A warm welcome to the players , club officials and supporters from Street
.I hope that they enjoy their visit to Crown Fields this evening and have a
safe journey home. The last time we met was immediately before lock down
and as things turned out subsequently signalled the premature end to last
season. On that occasion we managed to come out on top and I very much
hope that we can achieve the same outcome tonight.
We know that we will have to work hard and be right on our game to do
this against what will sure to be tough opposition. A warm welcome as well
to the match officials this evening, referee Billy Wilde and his 2 assistants,
Alex Setchell & Nick Beedell.
We come into the game having had an unscheduled Saturday off due to the
postponement of the game at Bitton. If there is a positive to this it is
probably that it has given one or two lads who have been carrying knocks
a little more time to recover and I hope that it makes John's life a little
easier when he is considering his options for this evening.
On Saturday coming we continue with our quest in the FA Vase when we
entertain Bashley from the Wessex Premier League . It is quite some time
since we competed at this stage of the competition and we have high hopes
of being able to continue further with our adventure. Whatever happens it
is sure to be an entertaining game and I hope to see as many of you here
as can be to cheer the lads on. Your continued support in these troubled
times is much appreciated by everyone at the club.
Thank you. .
