                                      Good evening
                                      Last week’s 0-0 draw at
                                      home to Shepton Mallet
                                      saw us pick a valuable
                                      point, and importantly
saw us end a run of 3
                                      narrow defeats in the
league. It’s not a case of
                                      over celebrating a draw
                                      but it certainly was
                                      important for our
                                      confidence to not lose
                                      and importantly keep a
                                      clean sheet against a
                                      team full of attacking talent.
After the 3-2 loss away to Cribbs, we sat down as a
group and had an open chat; it was a healthy
discussion, and we were pleased with the players’
input and the positivity it created. We recognise that
we have played execeptionally well in periods of
games, notably the Westbury 1st half and Cribbs
2nd half, but we had failed to put a complete 90
minutes together. It’s the latter we concentrated on
against Shepton, cutting out the silly mistakes that
have recently seen us punished almost immediately
and ultimately have been the difference between
                                      winning and losing.

Last Tuesday saw us train for the first time in 6
weeks due to the relentless fixture programme. It
was a welcome distraction and the lads looked fit
and sharp. On Thursday, we went out as a squad
and enjoyed a curry. The lads had a great evening,
albeit restricted due to Covid guidelines!

We go into tonight’s match with only Jordan Anstey
missing with an Achilles injury and are looking to
build on the Shepton result and keep our excellent
                                      home form going.

                                      Thank you for your support
                                      John Allen
