Park’s Motor Group SWPL

Rangers are the Park’s Motor Group SWPL Champions for the first time in their history
following a goalless draw with Glasgow City on Sunday. Both teams went close during
the course of the game, City having a goal disallowed for offside, but Rangers picked up
the draw they required on the day to make sure of landing the title.
Charlie Wellings has had a great season for Celtic and she scored twice more as
they won 3-1 away to Spartans. Clarissa Larisey added the third, after Sarah Clelland
had pulled one back for the home side.
Hibernian returned to winning ways with a 4-1 success against Aberdeen.
Eilidh Adams was on target twice along with Michaela McAlonie and a Kelly Forrest own
goal, whilst Aberdeen’s consolation came via a fine solo effort from Bayley Hutchison.
Motherwell kept themselves in with a chance of a mid-table finish, thanks to a
1-0 victory over Hearts. Kaela McDonald-Nguah settled matters in their favour with a
close range finish, just after the hour mark.
Hamilton Academical meanwhile claimed their third league win of the season,
coming from behind to beat Partick Thistle 2-1. Amy Bulloch gave Partick an eighth
minute lead, but the Accies hit back to take the points with strikes from Kirstie McIntosh
       and Lindsey Blues.
On Wednesday night, Glasgow City ran out 4-1 winners over Aberdeen thanks to
an Abbi Grant double, Vital Kats and Lauren Davidson, with Donna Paterson replying.
Celtic meanwhile defeated Hearts 5-0, with all of the goals coming in the first half.
Charlie Wellings led the scoring with a hat-trick and Olivia Chance added the other two.
Amy Gallacher netted twice, with Colette Cavanagh and Rosie Livingstone also on the
scoresheet, as Hibernian won 4-0 away to Hamilton Academical and the game between
Partick Thistle and Spartans finished goalless, the tenth time that Spartans have drawn
       in the league this season.
