Park’s Motor Group SWPL
Rangers continue to stretch the pace in Park’s Motor Group SWPL 1 as a six-goal victory against
Hearts kept them two points ahead. Kirsty Howat and Ciara Grant put them two ahead inside the
opening ten minutes, before Megan Bell netted a goal in each half and Lizzie Arnot and Brogan Hay
completed the scoring.
Glasgow City also won 6-0 against Hamilton Academical to stay on Rangers’ heels, they
also made a flying start with three early goals. Mairead Fulton, Tyler Dodds and Hayley Lauder all
netted early on before Fulton - with a second penalty - Clare Shine and Ode Fulutudilu added further
goals in the second half.
Celtic ran out 4-0 winners over Hibernian to increase the gap between the two teams.
Clarissa Larisey put them in front in the opening minute and Olivia Chance made it two before half
time, with Celtic doubling their lead after the break through Jodie Bartle and Chloe Warrington.
Aberdeen and Spartans occupy the next
two positions after their meeting finished in a 1-1 draw.
Both goals came in the second half, Bayley Hutchison
giving Aberdeen the lead five minutes after the restart
and Robyn McCafferty earning Spartans a point on the
day - their ninth draw in the league this season.
The points were also shared in the important
clash between Motherwell and Partick Thistle as
the sides battled out a 3-3 draw in a see-saw battle.
Partick raced into a two-goal lead thanks to Cara
McBrearty and Linzi Taylor but Motherwell hit back
strongly, Kaela McDonald-Nguah and Gill Inglis
scoring either side of half time and McDonald-Nguah
then netting a second to put them ahead for the first
time. Partick levelled again through Teigan McCann to
earn a point which edges them, and Motherwell, a Megan Bell on the attack for Rangers against Hearts
