Good Afternoon and welcome to the Lancer Scott
Stadium.
We welcome Shepton Mallet today who are having
a great season and we will definitely need to be at
our best if we are going to anything from the
game.
Last week we came away with 3 points against a
well drilled Millbrook side but have to say we rode
our luck in the first half before turning in a decent
second half! The second half started well for us
and we stormed into a 3-0 lead with goals coming
from Joe Banks and ex-Shepton striker, Jack
Fillingham (2) before conceding a soft penalty 5
minutes from the end. We need to start putting in 90 minutes
performances rather than 45 minutes!
That saw us move back up to 7th in the table. It’s very tight, 11 teams are
separated by just 6 points, from Barnstaple in 6th down to Cadbury Heath
in 16th. Consistency is the key, and that comes with more “90” minute
performances. The squad is starting to take shape and with players
returning from injury there is a lot of competition for places.
For the next 2 games, we hit the road to Falmouth and then Mousehole.
