Beech’s Bench Talk

Good Afternoon and Welcome to the Lancer Scott stadium
Today we welcome Millbrook who travel up from Cornwall.
We played Millbrook a few weeks ago which was a close
encounter, the hosts scoring in injury time to beat us 2-1 so
we will be expecting another tough game today.
Since the last home game we have added Jack Fillingham to
our squad someone who certainly knows where the net is!
We also welcome back to the club Zak Ford who needs no
introduction and will is another great signing for us.
We come into today’s game off the back off 3 away games,
we were knocked out of the Les Phillips cup, a competition
we wanted to do well in this year but we fell to a 4-1 defeat
at Shirehampton which as a management team we were not
happy with, not taking our chances in the first half proved
costly. We then travelled to Elburton villa in the fa vase with a depleted squad losing 1-0
which was very frustrating again not taking chances cost us.
Last Saturday we travelled to Sherborne where we scored after just 12 seconds through
Joe Banks and then found ourselves 2-1 down with 15 minutes to play! The introduction
of Miles Hardidge and Will Solari made a big impact and Will got us back on level terms
and Miles scoring in the 100th minute to win the game. The lads showed great character
        which was most pleasing.
The squad is getting near enough where we want it now apart from a few injuries which
hopefully will be back with us fairly soon .
Get behind The lads and I will see you in the bar after the game.
        Beech
