Nick’s Notes. The Resies
So only the one game to report on since last me and that was
our home fixture v Cu ers Friday.
The impact of injuries has really taken its toll of late. With
players being called up to the first team as well it leaves us
having to fill holes in our side with players who aren’t familiar
with the posi on you have put them in but that as they say is
football. I am pleased to hear that Billy, Mason and Sam are
more than holding their own in the Western league Premier
division.
The game in its self on our behalf was poor we lacked intensity
we were second to everything and made poor decisions all
over the park. Cu ers ran out well deserved winners and
the 4-1 score line was worthy of their performance. Posi ves
for us was having our player of the match Wilf Bond ge ng on
the score sheet with a well taken goal, he kept ba ling and
worked relessly throughout. 17 year old Afie Cummins made
his debut for us, having been in the 1 team squads, played
st
well, stuck to the tasks asked him and displayed an excellent
a tude. Harry Hockin just came back from injury, started the
game well but went off injured a er 25 mins. TJ, Ben and Kye
made decent contribu ons.
We have a vacant fixture this week and our next game then
next up we are home to Por shead hopefully we will be able
to get a few players back by then and get back to winning ways
playing with intensity and being that hard working comba ve
side that never gives up .
The disappoin ng result leaves us in second place in the
league on goal difference behind Castle Carey but with 2
games in hand.
As I said our next game is here at the Lancer Sco , Saturday
11 December, 2pm KO, it should be a lively local derby and
th
would welcome your support.
UP THE STAGS
