Malvern Town came out on top in the top-table match at Cribbs with an
emphatic 3-0 win which was secured by Joe Bates 2 and Matt Turner.
The win gives Malvern a two-point lead from Bishops Cleeve for whom Jack Watts
and Blaine Waugh netted in the first half at Calne Town to earn a 2-0 victory.
Behind Cribbs in third spot, three teams are lined up ready to confirm their own
promotion credentials. Longlevens drubbed Chipping Sodbury Town 4-1 with
goals coming from James Sunley 2, Joey Haswell and Ethan Dunbar. Kye Simpson
pulled a goal back for the Sods.
Brimscombe & Thrupp’s home fixture against Thornbury Town was postponed
and making up the trio of challengers is Westfields who won 3-1 at Royal
Wootton Bassett Town thanks to goals by Josh Hart.
Hallen were caught by a Westbury United whirlwind as the visitors ran out 6-0
winners and left their hosts rooted to the bottom of the table. Sam Jordan 2,
Callum Demkiv, Dan Demkiv, Joe Stradling and Francois Allen were their
marksmen.
Lydney Town are now in the bottom two places following a 4-2 reverse at home
to Roman Glass St. George. They have replaced Hereford Lads Club who
improved their standing by winning 4-2 at Fairford Town with strikes by Adam
Hockey 2, Adam Newbury and Cameron Peters. The Gloucestershire side hit back
through Ross Langworthy and Dan Bailey.
Joe Shutt grabbed the only goal of the game as Tuffley Rovers edged out
Bradford Town, and Corsham Town and Shrivenham fought out a goal less
draw.
FC Stratford maintain a three-point lead at the top of Division One despite being
held to a 2-2 draw at Milton United. Goals from Dan Atkins and Levi Steele for
the top team were cancelled out by Ollie Nadin who notched a brace for the home
side.
Three points behind in second spot are Clanfield ‘85’ who cruised to a 4-0 victory
at Cirencester Town Development. On target were Declan Sheppard 2, Josh
Gibbens and George Seacole.
Cheltenham Saracens trounced Littleton 6-1 at the Big Local Stadium to move
third in the table. Ryan Dobbins scored twice, Harry Daubney, Kai Mahon, Sam
Mattock and Oliver Whelan one each of the hosts.
Goals from Nick Humphreys, Alex Kibble, Richard Thwaite and Tim Williams shot
Stonehouse Town to a convincing 4-0 success at Bourton Rovers as they
continue to improve and apply the pressure in fourth spot.
In the other games played, Pershore Town stormed to a 5-1 win at Moreton
Rangers thanks to Roland Krol 2, Sam Clark 2 and Aaron Brett, and Hereford
Pegasus and Shortwood United shared a 3-3 draw. On target for Hereford
were Kyle Panniers 2 and Saul Thomas, whilst Josh Beadle, Max Harper-Emerson
and Charley Hobbs replied for The Wood.
