Title winners Shrewsbury Town were not so successful in their quest for the
double as they were beaten 3-0 by Shifnal Town in the Division One North Cup Final.
Rebecca-Lee Bown netted twice for Shifnal, with Holly Bullock adding the other to give
Shifnal a trophy to go alongside their runners-up medals in the league.
It was a different story in the Division One South Cup Final, with Solihull Sporting
making sure of the double by scoring six times without reply past Leamington Lions.
Isabelle Haigh crowned a great day for the Champions with a four-goal haul, whilst
Sigourney Gowlett and Lauren Smith contributed the other goals.
Sutton Coldfield Town need to avoid a four-goal defeat in their final match of the
season - against Champions Stourbridge - in order to be confirmed as runners-up in the
Premier Division, following their 4-0 victory over Crusaders. Niamh Deasy led the scoring
with a hat-trick, while Ruth Graham added the other goal. It has not been the happiest of
campaigns for City of Stoke but it ended on a winning note for them, 6-1 against
Tamworth. Holly Ellison and Kiera Willdigg each netted twice along with Chloe Brown
and Connie Shaw-Peake.
