If the new joint management team of Kevin Darch and Kevin Squire weren`t aware of the
enormity of their task at Barnstaple Town, they no doubt are now as suffered an 8-1
hammering at home by Pitching In Southern League Division One South leaders AFC
Totton. There was a hat-trick for the Stags recent arrival from Worthing, Shaquille
Gwengwe in the 3rd, 20th and 37th minutes, a brace for Hisham Kasimu in the 29th and
44th and singles for Stephane Zubar on 24 minutes, Jack Hoey after 54 minutes and Sam
Griffin on 62 minutes. Luis Edmonson had made it 1-1 and the other positive for the new
bosses was the performance of goalkeeper Jack Arthur.
It was a bit of a goal-fest in the division on Saturday as fourth-placed Cirencester Town
hit six without reply at home to fourth-bottom Slimbridge. And the Centurians had two hat-
trick heroes who will have to fight for the match ball! Josh Parsons scored his in the 2nd,
53rd and 80th minutes, with Harry Williams matching him in the 26th, 66th and 78th
       minutes.
Second-placed Sholing suffered a second league defeat – and second in succession – to a
Frome Town side who are now fifth after winning 3-2 at Badger`s Hill in front of a good
crowd of 415. Chris Peck gave the hosts a 13th-minute lead that Conor Whiteley levelled
within two minutes. Kane Simpson restored the Somerset side`s lead after 25 minutes but
just two minutes after half-time, Dan Mason pulled the Boatmen back on level terms. It was
sub Rex Mannings who scored what proved to be Frome`s winner just shy of the hour-mark
       with a fine strike.
Bristol Manor Farm are in third after a 3-1 win at Paulton Rovers. Leighton Thomas
gave Rovers a 17th-minute lead that Owen Howe cancelled out from the spot on the half-
hour mark. Then, on 73 minutes, Lloyd Mills put Manor Farm in front with virtually his first
touch after coming off the bench. And less than a minute later, Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist was
fouled by Leighton Tuodolo, who was dismissed, and Howe converted his second successful
       penalty to make it 3-1.
Highworth Town are sixth after a 5-1 home win over Evesham United. The hosts found
themselves three-up at the break through Toby Holland after 25 minutes, Matt Cheetham
four minutes later and then Felipe Barcelos in injury-time. Barcelos went on to complete his
hat-trick in the 49th and 89th minutes, with Callum Ebanks netting a 75th-minute
       consolation for the Robins.
Winchester City also netted a nap hand – but away from home as they won 5-2 at
Causeway Lane against Cinderford Town. It was the hosts who took a 5th-minute lead
through Zach Drew, only for Oli Bailey to level within two minutes. Ollie Balmer made it 2-1
to the visitors three minutes after that and Jamie Barrow added a third on 36 minutes. Craig
Feeney netted a second-half brace for the Citizens on 68 and 77 minutes, with Harry Emmett
netting a consolation second for the home side three minutes into stoppage time.
Lymington Town moved up to 13th in the table after beating Bideford 2-1 in their first-
ever league meeting in Hampshire. Owen Fee gave the hosts a 23rd-minute lead which
Freddie Bullard doubled four minutes before half-time. The Devonians ‘won’ the second half
with a goal from Craig Duff after 65 minutes, but they couldn’t find another.
Ben Griffith scored the only goal of the game seven minutes into the second half as Willand
Rovers edged out Larkhall Athletic at the Stan Robinson Stadium.
However, there were seven goals at the InfiLED Arena at Oakfield as Melksham Town won
by the odd goal against Plymouth Parkway. But Parkway won’t be happy at letting a 3-0
lead slip after a brace from Adam Carter in the 36th and 48th minutes and then River Allen
on 54 minutes. Ryan Morgan pulled the first back three minutes later, then Luke Ballinger
scored two on 65 and 75 minutes and then Jake Mawford made the majority in the 378
crowd happy with the winner 12 minutes from time
With leaders Hayes & Yeading United in Emirates FA Cup action on Saturday,
Farnborough took advantage to move to the top of the Pitching-In Southern League
       Premier Division South table.
