High School (Grades 10-12)
High school programming will be allocated using the WMA enrollment of the school authority, using a base rate that is 10 per cent higher than the Grade 1-9 base rate to account for the increased cost of high school programming.
Credit Enrollment Units (CEUs) will no longer be the basis for funding high school programming, with the exception of summer school.
The Carnegie Unit will no longer be used as a metric of student learning for funding purposes.
Base Instruction Grant- Brick and Mortar
*Considerations moving forward:
•Assessing class size ratios and grade level splits? •Assessing teacher assignable time and preparation time?
•Assessing the support staffing and external support service contract requirements for SSL support services.
•What will programming look like as we transition into the new normal for education and social distancing?
•What changes in program delivery, school calendaring, transportation, and school activities will need to occur?
Grade 10-12

Grade 10-12

Grade 10-12

Per Student Funding Model
The Carnegie Unit is ironically no longer an indicator for
brick and mortar schools, but still remains a unit of
measurement for online and shared programming delivery
models. •Will more parents and students require a
blended delivery model? Will all schools be required to offer online course delivery?
