•any shared/blended program students who are below 75% teacher directed program are only funded $2,400.00 in which each student/parent receives $850.00 of this funding to support the home programming.
•SOH will need to clearly define the program delivery expectations for parents who do not wish to participate in programming that is 75% teacher-directed. We can not afford to sustain programming a teacher-directed program that only returns $1,550.00 of funding.
•SOH will need to encourage parents to enroll their students in 30 + credits or 75% or higher teacher-directed programming to receive similar funding to that of a brick and mortar school.
•The new funding manual has indicated that all online school courses will be recommended to be shared across the province starting in the 2021-22 school year. That will potentially mean any school division could start up an online school and access courses developed by other school divisions across the province.
•Dual Credit course participation agreements will need to be clarified to gauge the willingness of other school districts to fund the delivery of the current instructional model.
•revaluate the number and cost of remote SOH centers.
