•! $ 850 must be provided to parents for student resources, and
•! shared students are not included in enrollment count for other grants.
•! Unlike base grants, most grants cannot be calculated using enrollment only. WMA is included in grant calculation but also dependent on WMA of other jurisdictions.
•! System Administration grant provided for Board and Administration costs. Cannot transfer other grants to Administration but can transfer Administration to other functions.
•! Plant maintenance and operations grant cannot be used for instruction, but instructional and other grants can be used for facility maintenance.
•! FSL budgeted at same level of services as in 2019-2020. Schools may purchase additional time, if program has capacity for additional services.
•! Base grants based on enrollment or allocations calculated by Alberta Education. Other grants allocated based on the school ratio. School ratio = school's enrollment FTE/total projected enrollment FTE (not including Shared Students receiving less than 75% of their instruction from teachers and not including home school students.)
•! Allocations are made after deductions for student faith development, divisional transportation, religion/student/ school supports/contingency,
technology and special education
budget is allocated.
