Grade 1
1- Students familiarize themselves with keyboarding terms (Keyboard, keys, spacebar, return, enter, backspace, arrows, delete, numbers, letters and shift).
2- Students know the body posture (Eyes, body with the letter B, hands and wrists).
3- Students are using both hands on keyboard at all times.
4- Students know the Home Row and can place fingers on it.
5- Students are memorizing the Home Row Keys.
6- Students familiarize themselves with the fingers to use for the space bar, return, es- cape and shift keys.
7- Students are expected to produce words or simple sentences.
Grade 2
1- Students can identify and define keyboarding terms (Keyboard, keys, spacebar, re- turn, enter, backspace, arrows, delete, numbers, letters and shift).
2- Students know the body posture (Eyes, body with the letter B, hands and wrists).
3- Students are using both hands on keyboard at all times.
4- Students know the Home Row and can place fingers on it.
5- Students are memorizing the Keyboard Keys.
6- Students know the fingers to use for the space bar, return, escape and shift keys.
7- Students familiarize themselves with the fingers to use for alphabet and punctuation keys (French accents).
8- Students are expected to produce small samples of written work (e.g. stories and poems).
Grade 3
