Network Monitoring and Maps
The technology department continues to explore tools
that provide real time network monitoring in order to take a “Proactive” vs “Reactive” approach to network traffic issues. Another challenge that has developed over the last 10 years has
been the rate of change. It is difficult to maintain a
network diagram that reflects the current environment when the equipment changes so quickly. Intermapper is a product that has been implemented in the school district over the last 10 years. This product has involved into a solution that provides dynamic network maps and also monitors the key network devices throughout the school district.

After visiting the Magog One to One Project, Fort Saint John Literacy Laptop Project and implementing the Elementary Literacy Laptop project the board committed over 1 million dollars towards implementing wireless laptop technology across the school district.
