Parts of Speech




                                  A noun is the name of a person,
                   Nouns
                                  place, things, or idea.


                                  A pronoun takes the place of a

                                  A verb tells what action someone or

                                  An adjective describes a noun or a

                                  A preposition describes a relationship
                  Prepositions    between a noun or pronoun and
                                  another word in the sentence.


                                  A conjunction joins words or phrases
                  Conjunctions
                                  in a sentence.




                  Interjections   An interjection is a word or phrase that
                                  expresses strong feeling or emotion.
