Minutes of the AGM held after the service on Sunday 26 February 2023

There were 28 members present, plus 3 friends and 10 apologies.

        1. In Memoriam
Martyn welcomed all to the meeting, which stood to remember Derek Marsh, Ivan Lock and
              Betty Norman in prayer.

        2. Minutes of the AGM held on Sunday 27th February 2022
These were accepted and signed by Martyn.

        3. There were no Matters Arising.

        4. Minister’s Report
Martyn read his report, a copy of which is attached.

        5. Administrator’s Report
Jim read his report, a copy of which is attached.

        6. Financial Report
Martin read his report, a copy of which is attached.

        7. Mission Enabler’s Report
Lex reminded the meeting that he only has 5 months left on his contract with us. His radio
broadcasts have proved successful. He hoped he would be able to stay here working with
the community to be united, recognised and renewed as a collective body, with the focus on
              church first and community second.

        8. Election of Officers
Jim had circulated the proposed list of Church Officers. Davina wished to stand down as
Christian Aid Officer. With this change, the remaining officers were elected en bloc.

Davina said that the safeguarding procedures were reviewed every year. One contact name
had to be changed but the Elders had recommended that nothing else needed to be altered
and this was agreed. There are copies of the paperwork in the sanctuary and the main hall.

        9. The Reports were accepted.
Jim, Martin & Lex were thanked for all their hard work.

        10. There was no other Business

        11. The meeting was closed at 1.45 pm

Special Church Meeting for 1 item to be discussed

The Elders had proposed that Martin Barnet, our bookkeeper, should be invited to attend part or
all of the Elders’ Meetings, as he would be able to advise on any financial commitments which
may need to be made. Sue W felt this would be an advantage. It was agreed that both Martin and
Lex could stay for the full meeting when it was felt necessary.
