‘Thank You’ - The children were asked to think of someone they
were thankful for during their time at primary school, maybe
another child, teacher or member of support staff or volunteer.
They then created a simple pipe cleaner person to represent that
person and wrote that person‘s name and the reason for their
thanks on a thank you note which were also taken to be placed at
the front during the service.
It was lovely that our premises could be used in this way and a
delight to see so many excited children coming into our hall all
eager to listen and participate. Let’s hope and pray these young
people felt blessed by the morning and if the significance of what
they heard didn’t quite register with them at this young age, then it
will at some point in the future.

In Memoriam
Many friends will be saddened to learn of the death of
Reverend Bob Damer, on 20th June, aged 85.
Bob served at Dorset District, Radipole, and Portland.
When we were in Ministerial Vacancy back in 2005
he was appointed as our Interim Moderator until ill health
prevented him from continuing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Carol and family.
Thank you all for the card and gift vouchers
you presented to me in July.
It came as a complete surprise, especially
as I had retired previously. Your choice of a
Cream Tea at Holme was just perfect as it
is a place Ann and I go to quite frequently.
The addition of the voucher for the garden
was an added surprise as we hadn't looked
around there for quite a while.
Needless to say we enjoyed our visit and
cream tea!
Jim
