Too busy eating and serving to take a picture!!

You’ll just have to take our word that Wareham URC’s Lent Lunch
on Saturday 7th March went well!

The concept of doing some good just by eating lunch was
enough to lure around 30 people to join friends for a nosh and
natter over five different home-made soups, various artisan breads
and three types of cheese.

We were delighted to see friends from the Anglican Church as well
as those from local partner charities - everyone seemed to have a
good time.

And we DID DO SOME GOOD by stuffing our faces - £315 raised
for Global Justice Now and Christian Aid, which will be doubled by
Wessex Synod under the “Commitment for life” banner!

(If only I could raise money in the same way by eating several
chocolate bars!)

followed by breakfast at URC
10.30 am Easter Praise with Communion at both
Methodist and URC Churches
