Lesley has kindly put a ‘bin’ to use as a Bra Bank in the vestibule.
There are no locally known bra banks - however, we will link up
with Swanage WI who currently collect bras but don’t advertise it
and are delighted to work together.
The bras will first go to Bare Necessities in Wareham where they
fundraise for ‘Against Breast Cancer’ and then support small
businesses in Africa and enable
dignity for women there.
The bra recycling scheme takes your unwanted or unloved bras
and through our network of bra banks raises vital funds for
pioneering breast cancer research.
Together with our recycling partners, our textile recovery project
prevents these bras going into landfill before giving them a new
lease of life.
Every tonne of bras collected, ‘Against Breast Cancer’ receives
£700 to fund their research.
Please bring any new or used bras you wish to dispose of, and pop
them in our ‘bin’ - and tell your friends!
Any questions please talk to Emily
