May first responders rescue the injured, comfort the grieving and help
rebuild lives.
Lord in y our mercy: Hear our prayer
Gracious God, We dare to hope to see new images and hear new
stories of transformation; hatred to hospitality; swords to ploughshares;
and mourning to dancing. We pray for Your peace and reconciliation to
overcome conflict. We ask that You give wisdom and discernment to our
global leaders and those in positions of power who have the ability to
impact the course of this war. May Your kingdom come in Israel and
Palestine as it is in Heaven we pray.
Lord in your mercy: Hear our prayer
Fill us Gracious God, let us not be complacent and comfortable with
our worship and our actions in the world, fill us with fire and a passionate
heart for social justice and remind us that we follow a revolutionary who
seeks not passive adoration from our comfortable seats, but fervent
action with our hearts, minds and hands.
We will keep praying for a just future, when human rights and
international law will be observed, for not only those in Israel/Palestine,
but in other places just as needy such as Ukraine and Russia,
Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Libya, Mali, Somalia,
South Sudan, Syria and many more.
We pray for a world free of poverty and oppression, and we yearn for a
world free of vengeance and violence.
Lord in your mercy: Hear our prayer
Travel with us, Gracious God, as we answer Your call to be
peacemakers. Increase our compassion, our generosity and our
hospitality for the least of Your children. Give us the courage, the
patience, the serenity, the self-honesty and the gentleness of spirit that
are needed in a world filled with turmoil and terror.
We ask these things in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
