You may have seen a glittering Mumbai on TV
travel shows. But as the gap between the rich
and the p oor in this city grows wider, more and
more families are living in unimaginable poverty.

The city’s sprawling slums are a hotbed for disease, including leprosy. Forgotten
by the world and with little resources, even basic healthcare is too expensive for
people living with the effects of leprosy.

Your prayers fuel a caring team to shine out the love of Jesus, bringing hope
       and healing.

You’re also helping the next generation to break free of the disease.

Arin (11) and Shiven (8) are just two of the lives you’ve helped to change.
Their parents, Manisha and Vasant, were diagnosed with leprosy two years ago.
It was thanks to the Karuna clinic that they quickly got the cure.

Manisha hoped this was her family’s last brush with the disease. Then one day,
she saw a discoloured patch of skin on Arin’s arm. Her heart sank. Leprosy was
       once again haunting her family.

Arin and Shiven were both diagnosed and given the cure. Manisha can breathe
a sigh of relief, knowing leprosy won’t blight her sons’ lives. Their futures are still
       bright.

Through your compassion, the Karuna team will be there for even more families
like Manisha’s. Parents will know their children’s health is in safe hands. The
hopes of young people will be restored. Communities will know they are not
       forgotten.

Thank you for shining out the light of Jesus in the slums of Mumbai!

                        RETIREMENT OF ADMINISTRATOR
You probably know by now that I have decided to retire from my role as
Church Administrator. I stepped in at the end of 2022 to assist the
Elders, intending it to be a short-term commitment. I feel that job is now
        finished.

However, as a member, I will continue to print the Link Magazine and
Sunday orders of service sheets plus a few extra things like posters and
record keeping. As a non-serving Elder I will continue with Communion
        duty when needed.

I will no longer be the link between Church, Synod and National Church.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement.
