Welcome to the new look Wave Youth and
Children’s Ministry.
After much prayer and reflection, the Trustees have decided that
there is a place for the Wave in a different role.
Our mission statement is: Supporting Youth and Children in
Swanage and Purbeck
Our objective is to be: a Christian Charity providing funding and
prayer to support projects and activities to Churches and
Organisations in Swanage and Purbeck
The Trustees are presently: Caroline Powell (Chair),
James Mercer, Jeanette Awty (Charity Commission Link),
Adam Garnish (Treasurer), Hannah Fleming-Hill
The Wave will now seek to provide support in
three main areas:-
The work with children, young people and families being done by
various churches in Swanage and the surrounding area.
Various initiatives taking place in local schools ranging from
Christian Unions to storytelling.
Groups not linked to any church, but which are compatible with a
Christian ethos, who seek to enhance the quality of life for children
and young people.
We now have a new website under development, which should be
up and running by May/June and a new email address
SwanageWave@gmail.com
Two of the Trustees attended the Swanage Ministers monthly
meeting in February and received broad support for this new
initiative.
