Some thoughts for Lent….

                              The be – attitudes

Blessed are those who use low energy light bulbs,
for theirs is the light of GodÕs wisdom.

Blessed are those who travel by train,
for their lives are on GodÕs track.

Blessed are those who choose a car with low consumption,
for they are in GodÕs fast lane.

Blessed are those who insulate their homes,
for theirs is the warmth of GodÕs love.

Blessed are you when you put yourselves out
to use energy from renewable sources,
for you have kindled the flame for the future.

At our AGM on 8 February decisions were made.

Firstly, Davina Freedman and Elizabeth Shore were both
re-elected for a further three year term as Elders. They were
warmly thanked for their hard work in guiding the Church through
the last 3 years. Thanks were also expressed to Emily, who has
decided not to stand for re-election, as an Elder, and for leading us
in a thought-provoking service that morning.

Only two nominations were received for the choice of Charity for
2026. The meeting gladly supported the proposal from the floor
that as both nominations were worthy they should both benefit,
A further proposal was accepted to increase the amount by 50%.
This means that Greengage Community Garden and Purbeck
Furniture Bank are our nominated charities for 2026.

We look forward to 2026 determined to rise to the challenges that
       will inevitably come our way.
