Fall Season

I love the fall season, and the multi-colors on
the trees. Children play in the leaves.

I love the cooler nights, and sunset, and hot chocolate
on the stove, and fresh-baked cookies.

It’s a time to prepare for the bitter winter and snuggle
up in that down cover.

Reunion

I went off to war and left behind my love and
children to serve my country and our freedom, in a
war that lasted 18 years now.

With no end in sight, so many lives have been lost
due to irrational thinking. I wait for the day I return
home to my family and loved ones again.
