It’s almost a shame how quickly
speed is built—because the
M8 is stunning to behold when
at rest. The dramatic roofline
makes it more sleek than
nearly anything on the road
this side of $500,000. The long
wheelbase and short front and
rear overhangs trick the eye into
perceiving the car as smaller
and more taut than it is. With
the top lowered, the acute angle
of the windshield boldly makes
its presence known. The balance
inherent to the design reveals
itself the longer one admires the
M8 Convertible’s figure.

While the M8 will happily
attack every inch of pavement
in whichever direction it is
pointed, it also excels at more
sane speeds. This is largely due
to the aforementioned seats.
The nearinfinite adjustability
combined with the intricate
diamond-stitched leather make
them plush and supportive
in equal measure. Despite the
freight train-like thrust and drop-
dead gorgeous looks, these seats
are perhaps the pinnacle of the
excellence that the M8 offers.
