Estimated range should be comparable to the current
4S, and fast-charging, PASM-adaptive dampers, and
regenerative braking are standard. As with the uprated
models, three years of charging within the Electrify
America network and the ability to receive over-the-
air updates are also included. Air suspension is an
available option, as well as a 93.4 kWh battery—which
boosts output to 469 horsepower.

Silver 19-inch wheels over black brake calipers are
the only visual cues that distinguish the base from
the 4S or Turbo, though upgraded versions of both
can be selected.

Considering the lighter weight and rear-drive
layout, the 2021 Taycan could feasibly be termed
the first true “enthusiast’s” EV. The rear mounted
motor may even promise some of the classic
driving characteristics that made Porsche’s
gasoline-powered sports cars world-renown.

Fortunately, more new owners than ever before will
