LOVE IS IN THE AIR AT PALM BEACH ZOO! Malayan tigers Api and Kadar were found to be a “match” years ago, and that
is only part of the equation. Much like our own relationships, the remaining steps are up to the tigers themselves.
As tigers are solitary animals by nature, a group of population scientists at the Association of Zoos and
Aquariums (AZA) recently requested the reintroduction of Api and Kadar at the Zoo as part of the Malayan Tiger
Species Survival Plan (SSP).
