“Our Body: The Universe Within” is a fascinating and educational, blockbuster exhibition at The South Florida Science Center that showcases actual preserved human bodies in various states of activ- ity. Appropriate for all ages, this exhibit literally goes “under the skin” to reveal the mysteries of the human anatomy.
When The Science Center collaborated with Club Braman to host an interactive happy hour event for this inquisitive demographic entitled “Cocktails and Ca- davers,” it was the millennial generation, showing up in the hundreds to experi-
ence the thought‐provoking and visual- ly‐stimulating exhibit before it left the U.S. for its permanent home in Asia.
Visitors sipped on craft beers and cock- tails from local vendors, and enjoyed karaoke under the stars at the Science Center’s Planetarium. In a private viewing, guests were treated to literally an “inside look” at the complexity of the human body, and the opportunity to examine
its composition from a rare, up‐close and thoroughly‐detailed viewpoint. Dr. Darin Trelka from FAU was on site for informal, guided tours through the “Our Body: The
Universe Within” exhibit.
The exhibit itself was the most successful in the history of The Science Center,” said Lew Crampton, president and CEO. “We were thrilled to have the opportunity
to expose the millennial generation to careers in healthcare and the importance of healthy lifestyles.” He also expressed thanks to Club Braman for its participa- tion. The South Florida Science Center’s mission is to “open every mind to science,” and Braman is delighted to play such an integral role in that e ort.
