He readily admits to the subdued but ever-
present fire in his belly roaring back whenever
he comes across potential development
opportunities; many of which Franklin notices
around his current Palm Beach home and the
surrounding areas. Five decades ago, his wife
and daughter became infatuated with South
Florida, and convinced him to extend a vacation
they’d taken at The Breakers. The family would
go on to return every year before eventually
making a permanent move—taking up tennis,
equestrian pursuits, and golf along the way.

During the initial few years, Franklin would ship
his silver-arrowed luxury vehicle of choice up
and down the East Coast. In need of service at
one point however, he found himself at Braman
Motorcars. While he always admired the Bentley
and Rolls-Royces that he shared the roads of
Palm Beach with, they always seemed a tad
pretentious for his blue-collar heart.

Enter sales wunderkind David Banner. Franklin
allowed himself to be talked into a test drive, and
soon brought home a 2014 Bentley Continental
GT Convertible. Enamored with the big Brit, he
extended his lease for six years. When the time
finally arrived to upgrade, the new and improved
2020 Continental GT was the natural choice. He
drives the Bentley regularly, lowering the elegant
top as often as possible to better enjoy the fresh
sunshine and sea breeze of his second home.

Over the course of nearly a century, Franklin
continues to cement his legacy—enriching the
lives of those fortunate to learn of his. Even after
all this time, it appears he is still leading.
