BiTS: Well, I do have to say I like the band very much indeed. I've played quite a lot of your music

on my radio shows, and I think it is absolutely delightful. Let's talk about the new one with Early
Times. How did you get together, and tell me something about the song?

GC: Okay, so ‘Silver Lining’ featuring Early Times is the first single from that album. The album
is also entitled “Silver Lining”. I've known of Early for many years because he's one of the primary
DJs at SiriusXM radio here in the
United States, which is the biggest

platform for blues artists. It’s kind of
the Holy Grail of airplay for us in that
SiriusXM actually gives out really good
royalty payments [laughs]. So, it's a
major thing to get some airplay on
                                                                         SiriusXM Bluesville. So I've been

                                                                         listening to him forever.

He's been spinning our tracks for
years and I have been in social media
                                                                         communications with him, just
thanking him for airing our music.
Then last year, early last year, I had an

opportunity to see him perform at a
venue not too far from where I live,
and so I was able to meet with him and
we chatted for a while and it came to
me because I was writing this album,

                                                                         I'm like, there's a song that I would
really like him to be on because he's
     such a fine guitarist.

So I put a bug in his ear. I’m like, I'm in the midst of writing my next album [laughs], would you
ever consider doing a cameo? And he's like, oh, my gosh, yes. That would be awesome. I love
your music [laughs]. So yeah, several months later I sent him a recording once we got in the

studio and put that down and left the gap for him to do just a nice little tasty solo, and that's how
     that transpired.

BiTS: That's absolutely terrific. When does the album come out?

GC: The album comes out May 1st, but pre-sales start this Friday, so folks can digitally secure
the album starting this Friday, and they'll also get the treat of being able to hear one track early.

BiTS: Okay, now I want to talk to you about what I think is the greatest album that you've done

so far, and that's your tribute to Odetta. I'm of an age where I remember Odetta when she was
originally performing, and I just loved her music and I think that the tribute that you did was
sensational. What is your connection to Odetta?

GC: Well, I was about to say wait until you hear the second tribute which we just recorded two
     weeks ago.

     BiTS: Oh really?
