remember now. I think she was
because we used to do quite a lot of Berliner Waldbühne
gigs with Suzi and that was full and
when we did ‘Bye Bye Baby’,
everyone put their lighters on and
literally you had to lean right back
to see the very top of this thing it
was massive. And then one other
one was we played in America, and
we turned up at this venue and
they said we’re really sorry, but we
haven't advertised the gig and we

thought, oh! So we haven't sold any tickets, in fact,
we’ve only sold two tickets. What do you want to do?
We can’t pay you, they said. We can feed you, but we
can’t pay you and you can have as much to drink as you

want. So we said, [chuckling] well, we’re here. We might
as well do the gig, so we did and these two young ladies
turned up and we put all our stuff on, all our stage gear
and did the full show for them for two people and it was great and it’s one of those things you
tend to remember gigs like that because all the others tend to meld into one thing because
     they can be quite similar.

BiTS: So from a huge audience to a small audience.

     RK: Yes [laughing].

     BiTS: To say the least.

     RK: Yes, indeed.

BiTS: Tell me what the future holds for you. Have you got any immediate plans? Got any big
gigs coming up or anything like that?

RK: Well, not really. TBelly, we were supposed to play a HRH vs Crows gig in October in
Liverpool, but that’s got put back until next year in Leicester, I think. So we’re not doing that,
so at the moment I haven't got any TBelly gigs. Slade, we’re not doing much at the minute, but
in October, we’ll start again doing gigs all over the place, which is great because that’s a really
nice job to have. The band are great. The songs are obviously what they are and they’re good
songs to sing and it’s good fun.

BiTS: Well, Russell, I wish you the very best of luck with this little album of yours.

BiTS: Russell, it’s been great talking to you.

     RK: And you, Ian.

BiTS: Thank you very much indeed for your time and I wish you the very best of luck with
     the album and everything else.
