CO: The shows are kicking off again in Australia and you are both very popular with blues and
roots fans in the U.K., Europe, and America. Any plans for further international tours? What's
next for Hat Fitz & Cara?
CR:/HF: We are, at the moment, sadly not going overseas for any tours, but never say never as
we have been shown so much love and kind support from our fans overseas and hope to one
day come back and see them all.
CO: Let's finish with a
memorable tour moment
- there must have been so
many over the years!
CR:/HF: Phew! there’s quite
a few indeed. We would
have to agree on supporting
Status Quo in Ireland when
we first got together, as
their support act was not
working out. Fitzy and I
stepped in, it was 12 years
ago with more or less the
full band and after the show
Fitzy got locked out of the
venue and I ended up
backstage with the band
having strawberries dipped in chocolate and champagne and a few photos with Francis Morgan
and the band. It was a hoot, but I felt so bad for Fitzy. He got back in just as they had to run on
stage. Poor Fitzy was, and still is, gutted when we tell that story.
