like to go for because we can’t play live, let’s deliver a really live-sounding album. I’m really
excited about it. It’s very different concept-wise to the last studio album because that was kind
of really heavy production and this is a lot more raw and a lot more in-your-face sounding, I
    guess, because of that.

BiTS: Does the album have a title yet?

RD: It does. It’s going to be called “The Space Between Us”.

BiTS: “The Space Between Us” – that sounds like a fascinating title.

RD: Thank you. There’s a song on there called ‘The Space Between Us’. It’s always really weird
when you’ve written something and mixed it and then it’s all set to go and then you’re just
waiting for everything to come into play and the PR and all this sort of thing. And you just
think, I wonder what people will think. I hope they like it, and you get all these questions

floating around in your head, but I just think I really like it. I’m really proud of what we’ve
done, so hopefully, others will as well.

BiTS: You’ve got one or two gigs coming up principally at festivals. I see you’re doing Colne
again and also Llandudno, Great Orme Blues and Rock Festival, but tell me something about
this one in Orkney. I’ve never heard of a festival in Orkney until now.

RD: [Laughing] A couple of friends have told me about the festival and what a great time it is
and the guy that runs the festival approached us to play it and I think we’re there for three
days or something. I think there’s at least three shows we’re doing. We are taking the stripped-
back trio, so that’s basically me, Steve and Neil. We’ve got two guitars, percussion and also
some other stuff going on in the background. It’s going to be interesting. I’ve never been to the

Orkney Isles, so I’m interested to go and see what it’s all about and play a bit of music and have
    some fun.

BiTS: I bet you are. Rebecca, one of my favourite tracks and I’ve actually played it a number of
times on air, is ‘Screaming Your Name’.

    RD: Thank you.

BiTS: Is that one of your own? Did you write that yourself?
