RK: Yes, our sets are always very heavily based around our original material.
BiTS: When you’re playing live, say like at the PizzaExpress, do you call the sets as you go along
or have you got a set list that you work to?
RK: We always get a set list. It stops any hesitations between songs and for Zoe to get her head
round lyrics. It’s not fair just to call things out of the blue that perhaps we haven't played for a
year or two. So we’re always
changing our set list, but we do
have a framework. No, we have
a set list. Occasionally, during
the set, they’ll be a suggestion
from one of us to do this
because we sense it will work
with that particular audience.
But no, a set list is essential.
BiTS: Okay, that’s wonderful
stuff. Thank you very much
indeed and don’t forget to get
in touch with the Guinness
Book of Records and see
whether they’ll take your
lengthy gig.
RK: Gigathon, we called it.
Gigathon, that was the official
title.
BiTS: Okay.
RK: Lovely talking to you, Ian.
BiTS: That’s the new word,
isn’t it, Gigathon [laughing]? I’ve never heard that one before.
RK: I think we invented it [chuckling].
BiTS: Absolutely wonderful.
RK: We did three gigathons.
BiTS: Rob, thanks very much.
RK: Thank you, Ian.
BiTS: Cheers. Bye.
RK: Bye-bye. Thanks. Bye-bye.
