THE BiTS INTERVIEw: Andras Droppa
András Droppa is a hugely talented guitar player, singer and
songwriter who is really starting to find his feet in the music
business.
Following the release of his debut album, András took his
unique brand of Hard Rock-Blues to 23 venues across the
UK as part of his debut tour. He delivers a virtuoso ‘tour-de-
force’ of in-your-face guitar driven music.
Still in his early twenties, he is on a path to musical success.
Ian McKenzie spoke to András at his home in north Devon.
AD: Hello.
BiTS: András, is that you? It’s Ian McKenzie.
AD: Yes. Hello Ian. Lovely to
meet you virtually.
BiTS: And you, indeed. I’m so
pleased to talk to you. Let me
tell you what I want to do. I'd
like to talk to you about your
background, how you got into
music in the first place, and
then tell me something about
the album and the making of it
and all the rest of it.
AD: That sounds pretty spot

BiTS: Okay, well, let's make a start. Were you brought up in a home with music in
it? Is that how you became interested in music?
AD: I mean, kind of. So neither of my parents or any of my family are musicians in
the slightest, apart from my mum's brother who never played anything in his life
until his 40th birthday when someone bought a bass guitar, and then he became
absolutely obsessed with it. But basically, he was a proper metal head. We're talking
early 80s, Motörhead, biker jacket, the whole shebang. Apparently he took my mum
to see AC/DC as a little girl, and my earliest memory is that one Christmas he gave
both me and my sister an MP3 player. My sister's had a load of poppy crap on it. I
don't know what she had, but mine had “The Best Of AC/DC”, “The Best Of Black
