LL: How have you and your career managed through the global pandemic?

BLJ: interestingly, the ENTIRE BigMan project was recorded and mixed remotely; the rhythms
were done in Memphis without me on site. Terrence and Keith (who wrote and co-wrote 7 of
the 10 tracks) were in constant contact and would submit the finished tracks to me in LA.
Overdubs were done in Boston, New Orleans, Chicago, and LA. The mixes and mastering were
     completed in Chicago.

If it wasn’t for the pandemic, I probably wouldn’t have
completed “BigMan”. When the Hollywood voice over studios
and agencies had to close down due to COVID, those VO artists
who had home studios, like myself were busier than ever! That
gave me the time and resources I needed to finally finish my
                                         vision.

When things finally started to slowly open back up, I had all the
elements I needed to finally complete the album. Of course,
because of the pandemic a lot of musicians weren’t on the road,
and I was glad to be able to provide some a little bit of work.

LL: What can your fans look forward to coming up for you?

BLJ: More of everything. There’s a short film coming out that Keith and I actually wrote the
tune “Sunshine on Yo Face” for and I co-star in the film. We’re looking to tour at the end of the
season so be on the lookout for that. More collaborations like I did with the group “Misty
Blues”. I sang a duet with lead singer Gina Coleman, entitled “How the Blues Feel” on their
11th album “One Louder": that’s getting rave reviews.

Plus, Keith and I are currently working on our next project which both jazz and blues fans will
hopefully find new and refreshing. Big LLou’s crew has come to expect whatever I put my
efforts into—it’s going to be big, bold, bluesy and LLuscious! I’d hate to disappoint them.
