clubs and acoustic gigs and kind of just getting back into it. I realised the first time I hugged
somebody at a gig, it wasn’t until I got home that night that I thought, oh crumbs, I’ve hugged
about 30 people tonight. Lord, am I okay? Yikes! And I was okay, but I think we do still think
gosh, you know, we’ve still got to be careful, but I’ve been gigging since January, which has
been fab and really great.
BiTS: There are some people who have had a bit of a problem getting in front of an audience
again, I guess.
EW: Yes, I understand that people probably feel anxious. I suppose it’s your individual take,
isn’t it, really. I can’t
criticise them for that and
it’s almost a leap of faith.
Do you try it or not and
obviously it’s depending on
what your health
conditions are? You’ve just
got to do your best, really.
BiTS: I’m not going to take
any more of your time,
Emma. Thank you very
much indeed for talking to
me. I’ve just got one other
comment that I want to
make and that is I hope
your mum enjoys the
records from Big Daddy
Wilson in the future, you told me when she heard the name on my show she laughed out loud!
EW: [Laughing] Definitely. Oh, Ian, of course. Yes. We’ve had a great chat. Thank you for all
your support and I owe you a hug.
BiTS: Thank you very much. COVID permitting.
EW: Absolutely. A virtual hug coming to you, and I hope you enjoy playing the record.
BiTS: I shall indeed. I’ve played a couple of tracks already. Now I’ve chatted to you, I shall get
some more.
EW: Thank you, Ian.
BiTS: Thanks very much indeed for talking to me, Emma. Bye.
EW: It’s always a pleasure, Ian. Bye. Thank you.
BiTS: Bye.
