CoUnselors’ symPosiUm
Participants in the Counselors’ Symposium will be provided training opportunities focused on mental health, counseling
curriculum, and college and career readiness. During trainings, participants will build collaborative relationships with
other counselors and mental health providers as well as receive relevant information to better serve our youth.

Crisis response and intervention
Counseling skill development
Addressing student issues
Legal updates and regulations and ethics for mental

homelessness
Career and college readiness, pre-K through 12th
grade
ApplyTexas, Texas OnCourse, and the Reach Higher
Initiative (60x30TX Challenge)
HB5 graduation requirements and endorsements
Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) and the Academic Cost
Achievement Record (AAR)
