SOP Title: Annual Research Conference Planning
• The CRE will recruit volunteers for conference support B. SpeakersandPresentations
• The CRE will solicit speaker suggestions from previous year’s assessments, the planning committee, and the research community within each of the supporting institutions.
• The CRE will invite potential speakers using Appendix A – Speaker Invitation Email Template (located on CCS_Research\Research Educator\Template Documents\Conference Templates)
• The CRE will notify the planning committee of speakers with confirmed interest and will begin draft agenda for the conference; speakers will be categorized on the agenda.
• The CRE confirm presentation logistics speakers using Appendix B – Speaker Acceptance Email Template (located on CCS_Research\Research Educator\Template Documents\Conference Templates)
• The CRE will follow-up with all speakers periodically leading up to the conference and at the completion dates for required forms to ensure CME/CNE support will not be in jeopardy
C. During
the conference
• The CRE will ensure that all planning logistics have been confirmed by supporting institutional entities.
• Attendance and metrics will be tracked as required by CME/CNE credit approval on Metrics Tracking Log for Research Week (located on CCS_Research\Research Educator\Template Documents\Conference Templates)
• Assessments/surveys will be sent to all attendees; completion of the survey is required for CME/CNE credit using Appendix C – Conference Evaluation Template (located on CCS_Research\Research Educator\Template Documents\Conference Templates)
• Each speaker will receive an assessment to further evaluate the effectiveness of the conference using Appendix D – Speaker Feedback Template (located on CCS_Research\Research Educator\Template Documents\Conference Templates)
D. Post-Conference
• The planning committee will assess the conference to identify future opportunities for improvement
