Greetings Esteemed Guests,

On behalf of the Rocky Mount Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority, Inc., it is my great pleasure to welcome you to our
43rd Jabberwock Scholarship Program. This year, we proudly
celebrate under the inspiring theme: HERstory: Making a World
of Difference. Tonight, we honor the remarkable achievements,
aspirations, and dedication of 15 outstanding young women who have devoted themselves to
excellence in academics, leadership, and service.

The Jabberwock tradition represents more than just a title; it embodies a journey of growth,
empowerment, and community impact. Each participant has demonstrated unwavering
determination, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive difference in their world.
As these young ladies take the stage, they stand as shining examples of what it means to uplift,
inspire, and lead.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the families, friends, mentors, and supporters who have guided
these young women along their journey. Your encouragement and belief in their potential have played
an invaluable role in their success. To the Board of Directors of the Delta Center for Life
Development, we remain grateful to our continued partnership with this event. We also recognize the
vision of our Jabberwock Chair, Yvette Jones, Co-Chair, Barbara B. Smith, and members of the
Steering Committee whose hard work, creativity, and dedication have made this event possible.

To our incredible participants: tonight is a celebration of your hard work, your dedication, and your
impact. Regardless of who is crowned Miss Jabberwock 2025, you have each made an indelible mark
on our community and inspired others to reach for their dreams.

Thank you all for joining us as we celebrate these remarkable young women and their promising
futures. May this evening be filled with joy, pride, and a renewed commitment to empowering the
next generation of leaders.
