❖ A brief overview of the project
Aligned with the Supply Chain and Network Operations
practice, I worked on a sourcing project for a large
multinational firm in the QSR space. The client wished to
reduce the spend on indirect material. Most of my time
involved crunching client data in Excel to identify
optimisation opportunities across various categories, and
consequently preparing slides which would convey the
same to the client
❖ How is the normal day at the internship?
Since my client was based out of an East Asian country, I

undertaken three firm initiatives which would consume the

long way in the conquest of my PPO. This characteristic was highlighted time and again during our
induction to keep an eye on.
I made a mistake of accepting every opportunity that came my way without considering my bandwidth. It
led me to spending lesser time than required for decent delivery of work on all fronts. I spoke with the
team leads and dropped out of two opportunities amicably to avoid this.
❖ What are the things to keep in mind in the internship?
You are being watched closely from day 1. Do not try to slack off or pretend to be working while you are
not for the entirety of the internship duration. A counsellor will be allotted who would be making the case
