❖ A brief overview of the project
The first project revolved around ensuring that we can
utilize maximize percentage of carrying capacity of a
transportation vehicle for Solid Petrochemicals across all
manufacturing plants in the country and reduce the dead
freight to an optimum minimum value without
compromising other factors such as safety of both vehicle
and goods. Second Project required me to develop a
penalty waiver system to prevent a transporter from
being wrongly penalized by the company.
❖ How is the normal day at the internship?
The day used to start with a meeting with the tram I was part
of at 10:00 am for the same I used to reach office by 9:15 am
RAHUL PATHAK
and prepare myself for the meet. The meet used to last for
RIL half an hour later to which I used to start working on the
________________________________________ project as per the plan. I used to break for lunch around 01:00
PM and used to spend an hour finishing my lunch with other
GENERAL INFORMATION co interns discussing about different things. After lunch I used
to get back to work and then again break for tea around 5:00
Batch: PGDIE 48 PM. Used to have the tea with few other people in the team
where we talked about things other than work. After tea
BTech: Dwarakdas J Sanghvi again used to work another hour and half later to which I used
to meet my manager to brief him about they days’ work. Once
Stream: Mechanical
the meeting concluded I used to call it a day and leave the
Work Ex: Fresher office around 8:00 PM.
❖ What are the challenges faced during Internship?
During the 2 months of internship one tends to learn a lot but that leaning comes from the challenges one faces.
I being a fresher didn't know what to expect when I first joined as an intern. One of the biggest challenges you
face is getting time form other people i.e people from your team people working in another team or your
Manager. All of them are generally occupied with tons of work hence it is a bit difficult on their part to give you
time. So it is important to utilize the time they spend with you wisely.
❖ What did you do right and what did you do wrong?
The thing that I did right in my opinion was that I ensured that me and my manager both are always on the
same page during the span of 2 months. I ensured that I had a clear picture about what my manager expected
me to deliver. One thing that I think I could do better was interacting more with my co interns, though I had
regular interaction with them yet I personally felt that I couldn't have learned more form other co interns.
