Cell needs

• The cell needs energy to carry out all its own life processes. G.R
- To survive and get rid of waste materials.

• Cell needs food (nutrients) and oxygen. G.R

-To get energy.

• Cell need water. G.R

-To survive.

* Note:-

➢ Water enters the cell through cell membrane.

➢ If there is much water enters the cell it will swell until it bursts, to prevent
this; cells are able to maintain the proper water balance on both sides of cell
membrane.

➢ New cells come from existing cells.

1. The first scientist who discovered the cell is Robert Hooke.
