ISA COORDINATOR’S REPORT

The ISA project aimed at giving the children a chance to peep into the culture of
different countries while exploring their own country’s traditional clothing which
uphold old traditions and thus keep the children connected to roots. Traditional
costumes not only represent the pride and prestige of the country, but also give
that feeling of beauty and respect to the person that wears them and adorns them.

It is rightly said, ‘Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them.’

The children lived the above quote by infusing life in fancy dress competition
through which they exhibited vibrant, diverse cultures across the globe. This ISA
activity taught the children that traditional clothing embodies a country’s culture

and represents the sensibilities of ancestors.

The fabric collage activity was indeed a fun craft activity which the children
thoroughly enjoyed. The colouring and drawing competitions uncovered and
nurtured natural talents of the little budding artists. All these activities provided
a platform to the students to display their artistic abilities and gave wings to their
               creativity and imagination.

A contemporary fashion gaining popularity in recent time is fusion wear, a

creative blend of styles of any two or more cultures. The students learnt that while
following modern trends they should not shy away from ethnic wear which
represents their culture and gives them cultural identity. The ISA project was on
clothes was woven with the fabric of children’s love and so met with great
               success.

May God clothe every child with His love and mercy.
