Money won’t buy you peace
Today if a person has some money, he want to invest it
somewhere so that he earns more. Perhaps he is under
pressure to fulfil the needs of his children or to ensure a
better future for them, but that is the reason why people
are still seeking migration to other countries or leaving
their villages to earn money in the cities.
Businessmen and speculators face huge losses in the
business of stock exchange. They over trade and then
don’t know how to pull out of the mess they land
themselves in.
There is no end to greed. Just like we can neither eat our
food without salt, nor can we eat with excess of salt.
Apply this philosophy to your desires. Certainly, we will
never achieve anything, but we must watch out if these
begin to drive our very existence.
So, where does one draw the line? It is very easy to say
that we should not be greedy and that we should be
content with what we have. But due to rising prices, and
with luxuries now becoming essential, we seem to be
driven to make money anyway.
The result is misery. We see many people in jobs trying to
over reach themselves to gain more or to ensure that they
get that coveted promotion. They become such acute
workaholic that they are unable to give quality time to
families and children.
