P. 5
Most KIDS have already stampeded out of the door before it
has stopped ringing.
The SCIENCE TEACHER starts putting his things in his
briefcase.
He looks up to see WOLFGANG still scribbling in his exercise book.
SCIENCE TEACHER (CONT'D)
Time to go home, Lane. The weekend
awaits.
EXT. SCHOOL DRIVE - DAY
We are in the small Wiltshire town of Market Lavington on the edge of Salisbury Plain, just after the turn of the century. HAPPY KIDS stream down the drive, laughing and joking,
looking forward to the weekend ahead.
WOLFGANG lags behind, an old backpack over his shoulder,
QUIET, INTROVERTED and ALONE.
EXT. SCHOOL. MAIN ROAD - DAY
Some KIDS are met by their MOTHERS. GORGEOUS
Others clamber aboard a BUS.
WOLFGANG walks past, totally lost in a world of his own.
He doesn’t notice, MONA, a quirky girl with black hair
watching him from the bus.
EXT. MARKET LAVINGTON - DAY
We are in MARKET LAVINGTON, a small village on the edge of SALISBURY PLAIN.
As WOLFGANG meanders home he takes photos with a well used DIGITAL CAMERA.
EXT. CO-OP. MARKET LAVINGTON - DAY
He snaps a photo of a tired OLD DOG, with a grey muzzle, tied
to a lamp post.
Seeing a group of BIGGER BOYS lurking on the street corner up ahead he ducks into the Churchyard.
