Housing Residence halls, apartments, houses - these are just a few of the available housing choices
Information for students at Wisconsin’s private, nonprofit colleges and universities.
Alverno Students are encouraged to live on campus their first year unless living with a parent or guardian. Housing is guaranteed for incoming freshmen.
Bellin Students at Bellin College make their own off-campus housing arrangements. Bellin College does not have its own residence halls, but provides assistance to students in need of housing.
Beloit Beloit guarantees housing for 4 years, although seniors may live off campus. All students must live on campus for the first three years. Students who live at home with their parents within
commuting distance and non-traditional students are recognized exceptions to this policy.
Cardinal Stritch Housing is guaranteed, and many traditional daytime students choose to live on campus in our two residence halls. Freshmen are required to live on campus unless they are living with a
parent or guardian. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.
Carroll Carroll University guarantees housing to freshmen. Students are required to live on campus for the first three years unless they are living with parents, as space allows.
Carthage Students are required to live on campus until they reach senior class standing unless they live within a 30-mile radius. Housing is guaranteed.
Concordia Students are encouraged to live on campus, but it is not required. Housing is guaranteed for incoming and transfer students if they have applied for housing by June 1.
Edgewood All full-time first-year students and sophomore undergraduate students who do not live with a family member within commuting distance are required to live on campus.
Herzing Students at Herzing University make their own off-campus housing arrangements.
Lakeland All full-time students under the age of 21 must live on campus. The only exceptions will be: (a) if the student is living with a parent or guardian; (b) if the student is married; (c) if the student is a
former member of the armed forces; or (d) if the student is a single parent living with a child.
Lawrence Students are required to live on campus, and housing is guaranteed. Students who have been out of high school for more than four years (or are married and/or parents) are exempt from this
requirement.
Marian First-year and sophomore students who are unmarried and younger than 21 are required to live on campus, unless the student lives with a parent or guardian within a 35-mile radius of the
university.
Marquette Students are required to live on campus for the first two years unless they live at home within a 30-mile radius. Housing is guaranteed.
MCW MCW does not offer on-campus housing.
MIAD Students are required to live on campus for their first two years unless they are within a 45-mile radius of campus.
MSOE MSOE offers a range of on-campus resident housing options for students, and its location in the heart of vibrant downtown Milwaukee provides access to additional housing in close
proximity to campus.
Mount Mary First-year students are required to live on campus if they are coming directly from high school and are not living with immediate family members.
Nashotah Students have a selection of dormitory-style housing for single students or one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and/or town-homes for married students, with or without children. All
housing options are available on campus.
Northland All full-time students are required to live on campus for their first six semesters unless they are at least 23 years old, married, military veterans, the primary caregiver to a child, or living with
parents within a 40-mile radius. Housing is guaranteed.
Ripon Students are required to live on campus all four years unless they receive a waiver of this requirement. Housing is guaranteed.
St. Norbert Students are required to live on campus, and housing is guaranteed for four years. Seniors can petition for off-campus living.
Viterbo All full-time first-year and second-year undergraduate students who do not live within commuting distance are required to live on campus. Upper level students may choose to live in apartment
style residence halls.
Wisconsin Lutheran Any student who graduated from high school three or more years ago may live off campus. Students may live with family members within a 50-mile radius of the college. All other students
are required to live in college housing unless they have an approved exemption.
