               „A Healthy Spirit in a Healthy Body“ According to the

               Rules of Juraj Mulih



               Instructions on the healthy life of Regule roditelov i drugeh starešeh (Regula parents and other
               elders) were written in the summer of 1742 by the Jesuit Juraj Mulih.

               The first wrestling etiquette was written in kajkavic.

               The instructions about the behavior of parents, teachers and the ruler are the same as in the

               foreign books of the 17  and 18  centuries, because the „gallant epoch“ certainly recommended
               the same actions to behave well.

               Guidelines is not a mere form, but a true civility based on Christian morality. They are written
               in life-like and simple Kajkavian literary language. Health and social guidelines testify that the
               writer  was  ahead  of  his  time  and  thus  gave  Croats  an  educational,  linguistic  and  cultural
